Sitting rambling to myself
Thoughts drifting off in
A hundred directions.
Emotional waters flowing
Over the streambed
Of my soul.
Rapids filled with
Turbulent anger,
Lazy, clear stretches
Of calm peace
Deep dark pools of
Mystery and secrets.

Dreams soaring high above
Looking down on
Graveyards of shattered
Hope and other dreams.
Dark thought falling,
Settling over the soul
Like night.
Loneliness covering the land
In an emotional winter
Ages long.
